MCIC is pleased to offer presentations on fair trade topics relevant to:

  • Secondary and post-secondary audiences
  • Businesses
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Government offices
  • Community and special interest groups

Fair Trade 101

A one-hour presentation about how fair trade is connected to social, environmental and economic justice, and works toward the Sustainable Development Goals. This is an informative session for those who have beginner knowledge about fair trade and the sustainable development goals.  

Fair Trade Trivia

A 60-question, 1 hour multiple-choice trivia game about fair trade hosted by MCIC staff using an online gaming platform. Participants use their cell phones (with wifi) to answer questions. No apps or downloads required. Players will learn a lot about fair trade and have fun! Prizing available for a fee.  

Fair Trade Workplaces

This 30-minute presentation describes the requirements of a Fair Trade Workplace designation and will answer the questions:  

  • What is Fairtrade? 
  • What is a Fair Trade Workplace designation?
  • What are the annual requirements of a Fair Trade Workplace? 

Includes suggestions/ideas for fair trade awareness events.  

This session is useful when a Fair Trade Designated Workplace has new staff members, or if a workplace is considering applying for the Fair Trade Workplace designation.  

Fair Trade Schools

This 30-minute presentation describes the requirements of a Fair Trade School designation and will answer the questions:  

  • What is Fairtrade? 
  • What is a Fair Trade School designation? 
  • What are the annual requirements of a Fair Trade School? 

Includes suggestions/ideas for fair trade awareness events.  

This session is useful when a Fair Trade Designated School has new staff and/or student committee members, or if a school is considering applying for the Fair Trade School designation. 

Fairtrade Coffee - Responsible Consumption and Production

30-Minutes: Video intro, producer stories, and discussion on some of the social human development, and environmental issues Fairtrade aims to tackle in the coffee supply chain. This session is suitable for adults. Excellent for a staff meeting!

We’d be pleased to work with you to develop a fair trade-focused presentation for the needs and interests of your office, group or classroom. Fair Trade Information Booth*

Invite MCIC to participate in your social justice fair or market. We’ll bring educational materials about fair trade for distribution and will be available for questions.
