Crooked Teeth: A Queer Syrian Refugee Memoir is Danny's latest project–an intimate memoir that refutes the oversimplified refugee narrative and transports readers on an epic and often fraught journey from Damascus to Cairo, Beirut and Vancouver. Crooked Teeth comes out on May 28th, 2024.

World Refugee Day (June 20th) celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
