Local Brews + Global Views ft. Development & Peace
Join MCIC for an online edition of Local Brews + Global Views — this time, for a conversation with Jason Cegayle of Development & Peace, the social justice organization of the Catholic Church in Canada.
In May, the UN celebrates the International Day of Living Together in Peace, and at this event we will hear how Development & Peace is promoting a culture of peace and sustainability in Myanmar. Join us to hear how interfaith religious and community leaders became fully engaged in the promotion of communal harmony by opposing violence (including gender-based violence) and nurturing an environment of tolerance, gender equity, and respect.
Bring your coffee & questions and join us online for another 'from home' edition of Local Brews + Global Views, as Jason leads this important discussion about building peaceful communities — even as we watch the current civil unrest in Myanmar unfold.
We will be using Zoom to share this event online, and participants will receive a link by email after registering. Need to join by phone instead? Register and you'll receive the phone-in information.
