Voices for Change to perform at Winnipeg Poetry Slam

We’re excited to announce that Voices for Change will be performing their original spoken word piece, “Fight for Home,” at the Winnipeg Poetry Slam on Monday, May 27, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Handsome Daughter (61 Sherbrook Street).

This is an exciting opportunity for the Voices for Change youth artists to share their work with a live audience at one of Winnipeg’s most vibrant spoken word events. Known for its welcoming and high-energy atmosphere, the Winnipeg Poetry Slam is a great space to experience powerful performances and creative expression.

“Fight for Home” is a collaborative piece written and performed by four young poets using art to speak out about justice, identity, and belonging. Their message is bold, heartfelt, and rooted in lived experiences.

Open to anyone 15 and older. No parental accompaniment is require and wristbands will be provided at the entrance.
