What Book Makes You Think Globally Contest + Reading Lists

Check out our 2021 Reading Lists for Global Citizens below for entertaining, informative and inspiring books that you can find at your local library or bookstore. Whether you’re passionate about food security, ending poverty, supporting women’s rights, protecting the environment, or still deciding what changes you want to see in the world, we hope these books will inspire you to take action.

No matter where you are on your global citizenship journey, and no matter what issues you care about, it’s never too late to learn something new or experience a different perspective.

To get you started, we’ve put together a Reading List For Global Citizens from Kindergarten to age 100 (or older!), plus a list of documentaries with discussion questions to get you thinking:

Reading List for Global Citizens: Students K - Grade 12
Reading List for Global Citizens: Adult
Global Issues Documentaries (with discussion questions)
