May is Fair Trade Month in Canada. It is a time to celebrate, educate and take action for Fair Trade. We’ve created a template letter to help consumers encourage their local grocery stores to carry Fairtrade certified products. This tool can help you tell your favourite grocery store that Fairtrade is important to you and provides information on how they can source Fairtrade certified products for their shelves.
To use the letter:
- fill in your personal contact information, the store name and location, and list the Fairtrade products you’d like them to carry.
- Then, e-mail or print and drop off the letter at the store.
