The Alberta Council for Global Cooperation, on behalf of Together|Ensemble, is pleased to announce the new Canada SDG Youth Awards, a national youth-led initiative recognizing the contributions of young people across Canada towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

To reflect and engage unique interests and perspectives of young people in the development of this initiative, we are assembling a youth advisory committee made up of 13 youth, one per province/territory, from diverse communities and lived experiences across the country. This bilingual decision-making body will advise on the awards criteria, nomination, selection and celebration, and help promote youth action towards a more sustainable, healthy, and just world.

Do you know a young person between 16-30 years of age in your community that embodies the values of the SDGs and the spirit of collaboration? We’d love to hear from them! Applications for the youth advisory committee close June 30, 2021 at 11:59pm MST. For more information and to apply, please visit www.togetherensemble.ca.

This initiative is being funded by the Sustainable Development Goals Funding Program, Employment and Social Development Canada.
