IDW celebrates the people of Canada working in support of international development from coast to coast to coast and shines a spotlight on their important contributions around the world. IDW features hundreds of activities happening across the country and abroad that highlight Canadian contributions to building a more peaceful, inclusive and sustainable world.
As global citizens, the Sustainable Development Goals call on us to reflect on how to build resilient, inclusive and sustainable societies and economies that benefit all people, while protecting our planet. This year, IDW focuses on five themes: Gender equality, Health, Economic resilience, Education and Climate action (SDGs 5, 3, 8, 4 and 13).
